Follow the practice in class and turn in your drawing here.
Steps:
Create a cross on the page to make 4 sections
With a colored pencil (or pen/marker) make curved lines in each box. Be free with this!
You will use the line to help you draw a dynamic character pose.
Skills to practice
Shapes- always start by drawing basic shapes to create your character – circle, triangles, squares
Proportion – remember the ‘head measurement’ system, keep your character’s height consistent
Line of Action – use the curved line to create a dynamic pose, make your character move!
Silhouettes – imagine your drawing was filled in with black, would you be able to tell what the character is doing? A strong silhouette, or overall shape, is important.
Roundness – Keep your characters ‘3D’. Think about the roundness of the body and muscles. Go beyond a stick figure.
