You will draw a portrait of a person.
You should look for a real photographic image (not animated or cartoon) of a person.
Look for an image that shows them from the shoulder and above.
Go to CANVA
Create a document that is 6 inches by 10 inches
Create a grid with an inch grid
Use the Grid to correctly draw the size and proportions
You may also draw it freehand.
Start with basic shapes and Gesture drawing
Use the shapes we practiced with the eyes, nose and mouth to help you.
Add detail once you have completed the basic shapes using contour/darker lines
Remove the grid lines with an eraser
Add shadow and highlight.
