As you know we have a great relationship with the Mayor’s team, as such they have reached out and offered LACC some wonderful PAID internship opportunities for our students.
I immediately thought of your stellar Animation program students! Alexis (from the Mayor’s office) informed me that she’s got some positions in Animation to fill, and would love for those slots to go to LACC students. In addition, they have internships in Production, Marketing, Business, PR, HR, office technology, and at a talent agency).
This is an effort of the Evolve Entertainment Fund which aims to increase diversity in the field of entertainment, which I know you also have a passion for in ensuring that our students’ voices are represented.
The student must be between 18-24 yoa, low-income, and currently enrolled in school.
All Alexis needs is a resume from the student, which preferably would be emailed to Alexis by the referring instructor. OR I’m willing to collect the resumes in our office.
Alexis will then proceed to conduct a phone screening and set up an interview. We need the best candidates to represent LACC at these internships…who know where it may lead to!
